Is the Nokia Booklet 3G just an overpriced netbook? This promo video says so.
Everyone, you can breath easy, the Nokia Booklet 3G is here. It’s got an Intel Atom, 120GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, HDMI, and 3G. So why the hell does it cost so much? Nokia has set the price of the 3G model - is there a non-3G model? - at 600 Euros, which is roughly $853 USD. That’s a lot for a netbook. Especially for one that’s basically a cloned version of the Acer Aspire One 3G 10.1-inch. Even the official promo video doesn’t present a strong case of what sets this netbook apart.

The PS3 Slim is faster than the PS3 fat
From the fine folks who brought us the first video comparison comes another batch showing that the PS3 Slim is, in fact, faster than the PS3 fatty. However, I’m sure you noticed that the Slim is running firmware v3.0 while the fat is still on v2.8. Regardless, the Slim is booting up and loading faster than the fat all across the board. Hit the jump for two additional videos showing off Slim’s speed on Uncharted and Blu-ray start ups. Read More

Dear EuropeÖ Please give me QWERTY and not QWERTZ
Iäm in Berlin right now tzping on a kezboard that is about to make me go bonkers. It is apparentlz a QWERTZ kezboard and the Z and Y are mixed up and all of the punctuation is a total freakout. While Iäm sure this is important for some strange SerboßAustrioßHungarian language like Flemish, I assure zou itäs a huge pain in the rear.

New micro four-thirds Panasonic causes drool, consternation
We saw this thing a little while ago and now it is real. The Panasonic DMC-GF1 is a micro four-thirds camera with 12-megapixel sensor, 1080p video recording, and nice image quality. After seeing the lackluster EP1 I am worried the M4/3 world might be too hard to handle, even for DSLR lovers. However, I’m willing to give this old girl a try.

Eying Amazon and its Kindle, Google teams up with Interead
Google is clearly moving fast in setting up partnerships with ebook reader manufacturers and store operators to give some weight to its threat to Amazon and the latter’s Kindle product line. First, the company teamed up with Sony, adding about 1 million public domain books to the technology giant’s eBook Store. Now Mountain View has sealed a deal with British Interead, bringing the same amount of ebooks to an online store outside the U.S. for the first time (where close to half a million of them are available for free).

The Nokia N97 Mini is finally official, existence still in question
Well, look at that. The Nokia N97 Mini really does exist for some odd reason. The Mini is basically a N97 photocopied at 90%. The screen shrunk to 3.2-inches from 3.5, and the whole bezel is just a tad smaller. But it’s not like the original N97 was a hog. So we’re still wondering why Nokia spent all those resources on such a phone. Ah well. Photo Gallery by Picturesurf Read More
